Organic Modern
One of my personal favorites and a newer design style pulling inspiration from mid-century, boho and minimalism. I love this style for it's neutral pallet, natural elements and organic silhouettes. Of course, the plant obsession is real and this is a great way to incorporate all your beloved greenery.
Transitional
I call this one HGTV style. It’s a beautiful blend of modern and traditional, boasting a neutral color palette. Textures, patterns and mixed metals are commonly used to create harmony between the old and new pieces.
Mid-century modern
Midcentury Modern was popular from roughly 1945 to 1969. The war had restricted the use of many materials but with WWII over the economy boomed, sparking new ideas for the "home of the future". This is also around the time that attached garages (and car ports) became popular. For the first time we started seeing open floor plans and giant sliding-glass doors to forge a connection with nature. Conversation pits were also introduced (and need to be brought back!) and changes in elevation became popular creating different depths in the space. Rounded furniture, hairpin legs, teak wood and egg-shaped chairs are all staple pieces to this style.
